Staten Island, NY – Following a 10-day break, the Wagner women's lacrosse team swings back into action on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. when the Seahawks host the George Mason University Patriots of the Atlantic 10 Conference at Hameline Field.

The 2-4 Seahawks enter the game against the 3-2 Patriots coming off of two consecutive one-goal losses. On March 2, under the lights, the Green & White battled Saint Joseph's tooth and nail on the road, before the Hawks survive in double-overtime by the score of 13-12. Then, on March 4, Wagner took an early 6-2 lead over Temple on rain-soaked Grymes Hill, before the Owls rallied for a 10-9 win.

The Green & White are paced by junior midfielder Shea Gegan (Belmar, NJ/Manasquan) who leads the Seahawks in goals (12, T-1st), assists (9), points (21), ground balls (22) and caused turnovers (23). Coming off of a remarkable game vs. Temple where she came up with seven caused turnovers, the athletic 5-10 Gegan is the nation's leader with a 3.83 caused turnovers per game average.

Fellow junior midfielder Gretchen Fay (Spring Lake Heights, NJ), a high school teammate of Gegan's at Manasquan High School along the Jersey Shore, is tied with Gegan for the team lead with 12 goals and tied with sophomore attack Olivia Streilein (Vernon, NJ/Vernon Township) for second on the team with 12 points.
