ResultsOceanside, NY – The Wagner men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision in non-conference action against the Northern Kentucky on Saturday afternoon in a match that was originally scheduled to be played on Grymes Hill but was moved to the Point Set Tennis Center due to inclement weather.
The Norse secured the first point of the match after taking all three doubles matches.
In singles competition, Northeast Conference (NEC) Co-Player and Rookie of the Month
Michal Rolski (Kielczow, Poland/Oak Meadow [VT]) picked up his 10th dual match victory of the season while increasing his unbeaten streak to seven as he saved two match points in the tiebreaker while defeating Mate Virag, 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (10-8), for the lone Seahawk victory on the afternoon.
Freshman
Ryan Khan (Weston, FL/University School) put forth a valiant effort in Flight #3 singles before falling 6-7 (3-7), 4-6.
The Seahawks will look to return to their winning ways when they travel downto Emmitsburg, MD to tangle with NEC rival Mount St. Mary's on Sunday, March 15
