Staten Island, NY - Tomorrow, the Wagner Water Polo team will commemorate the class of 2014 while playing two home games, with a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) regular season Championship at stake. The 19-11 (7-1 MAAC) Seahawks will face off with 7-1 Marist at 9:00 am, before battling 2-8 Siena at 2:30 pm.

Wagner and Marist squared off once this season on March 30th, when the Red Foxes topped the Seahawks 13-12. In a back-and-forth affair, Marist took an 11-9 lead into the fourth quarter, but two goals from Jessica Burdge (Stockton, CA / St. Mary's) and one from Jess Lundgren (Queensland, Australia / Mountain Creek) tied the game 12-12 late in the fourth. Jessica Hamby of Marist netted the final goal of the game late into the contest to give the Red Foxes the one-goal win.

With Marist falling to Iona on March 29th by a score of 14-13, both the Seahawks and the Red Foxes sit at 7-1 for first place in the conference, with the Gaels in third at 7-3. The winner of the Wagner/Marist game will be in the driver's seat for a regular season MAAC title, as both teams remaining schedules feature teams in which they have a combined 7-0 record against this season.

Prior to the 2:30 pm Wagner game against Siena, we will take time to honor seniors Ashton Cline (Carlisle, PA / Cumberland Valley), Kaylee Ginnane (Tampa, FL / Coronado, CA), Sidney Hoshko (Coronado, CA / Coronado), Maura McGinley (King of Prussia, PA / Upper Merion), and Stacy McGregor (Sinking Spring, PA / Wilson). These seniors have helped Wagner to an 82-55 career record over their four years, two victories shy of the 84 wins that the class of 2007 set as the most in program history. The class of 2014 has also been an integral part of success in the classroom, as Wagner has led the nation in GPA amongst all divisions of Water Polo in both 2012 and 2013.

This weekend will also be one for the personal record books at Wagner. Burdge has already broken the school record with 40 sprints won, while Lundgren is close to breaking her own school record in steals, needing four more to tie her 2013 record of 124. Megan Rodriguez (Danville, CA / San Ramon Valley) has already tied her school record in assists that was set last season at 82, as the sophomore southpaw is second in all time school-history in helpers.
