BOX SCORE
Washington, DC - Freshman pitcher
McKaleigh Goodale (Bradenton, FL/Lakewood Ranch) twirled a no-hitter and the Seahawk bats banged out 10 hits as the Wagner softball team posted a 9-0 victory in a five-inning affair in day two of the Colonials Tournament hosted by George Washington University.
After Howard's at-bat in the top of the fifth, the game was called due to the enforcement of the NCAA's  run ahead rule which is invoked if one team is ahead by at least eight runs after five innings.
In earning its second win over Howard in as many days, the Seahawks improve to 4-6 on the season, while the Bison fall to 1-3.
Goodale, who also earned the win in yesterday's 8-5 victory over Howard, needed just 68 pitches today while recording six strikeouts and one walk, the latter of which occurred in the first inning.

Brenda Bott (Fountain Valley, CA/Fountain Valley) then brought home Parker to make it a 2-0 ballgame.
In the bottom of the second, Matteoni reached on a base hit, stole second, and came around to score on a Beeson single to increase the Wagner lead to 3-0.
