Staten Island, NY – The Wagner women's lacrosse team, under the direction of first-year head coach Liz Frisoli,  looks to even its record to 2-2 when the Seahawks host the Jaspers of Manhattan on Tuesday with first draw set for 4:00 pm at Hameline Field.

The Green & White opened the season with a 9-5 home win over Fresno State on February 17 with sophomore midfielder Shea Gegan (Manasquan, NJ/Manasquan), a member of the 2013 Northeast Conference All-Rookie Team, leading the way with two goals and two assists.

The Seahawks have since dropped contests to Lafayette and Siena, by scores of 16-6 and 12-8, respectively, but will look to return to their winning ways vs. Manhattan. The Jaspers are off to an 0-3 start but have been competitive vs. a demanding early season schedule. Manhattan opened the season with a 6-3 loss to Rutgers. After being outscored by Albany, 16-5, Manhattan played Bryant of the NEC to the wire, before dropping an 8-7 overtime decision to the Bulldogs.

Gegan leads the Seahawks in points (10), draw controls (7) and caused turnovers and her five goals tie for the team lead with junior midfielder Jessica Mils (Vernon Township, NJ/Vernon).

There will be no webstream of the Wagner-Manhattan game.
