Providence, RI
- In the final day of the Brown Invitational, Wagner was unable to get a win, falling to Indiana 15-5, before losing to Brown, 12-9. The Seahawks are now 1-3 after the weekend in Providence, and will look for redemption next weekend with three games at the Princeton Invitational.

Wagner vs Indiana

In the 15-5 loss to Indiana, sophomore Jess Lundgren (Queensland, Australia / Mountain Creek) was able to net two first quarter goals and junior Jessica Burdge (Stockton, CA / St. Mary's) added one as the Green and White ended the first down 4-3. Freshman goalie Emily Riddle (Edmonton, Alberta / Dr. E.P. Scarlett) stopped two of six shots in the quarter.

Wagner was able to add one more goal in the second quarter from sophomore Megan Rodriguez (Danville, CA / San Ramon Valley) but the Hoosiers were able to score four times in the frame, making the tally 8-4 at the half. Indiana added six goals in the third when the Seahawks were unable to score, making it an insurmountable 14-4 lead going into the fourth.

Indiana added one goal in the fourth, as did senior Stacy McGregor (Sinking Spring, PA / Wilson) to make the final score 15-5 in favor of the Hoosiers. With the loss, Wagner falls to 1-2 on the year, with a 3:30 pm game to be played against Brown today.

Wagner vs Brown

After one quarter of play against Brown, Wagner led 2-1 off of goals from freshman Amanda Sutherland (Denton, TX / Denton Ryan) and Burdge. Junior Michelle Greenough (Davis, CA / Davis) increased the Wagner lead finding her first goal of the season in the second, while Sutherland found her second goal of the game in the quarter.

Brown was able to take back the lead in the second, sliding five goals past Riddle and taking a 6-4 lead into the half. The Seahawks were only able to score once in the third quarter when Lily Doerfler (Annapolis, MD / Broadneck) scored her first of two goals in the game, but Wagner would go into the final frame down 8-5.

Although the Seahawks were able to add four goals in the fourth, it would not be enough as the Bears were able to match that output, making it a 12-9 final. Burdge had three of her game-high tying four goals in the fourth, while Doerfler added her second.

The Green and White will play next on Feb. 8 in the Princeton Invitational, taking on Princton at 10:00 am, and George Washington at 2:00 pm, followed by a Feb. 9 match-up against Harvard at 9:00 am.
