ResultsBronx, NY - The Wagner women's cross country team delivered an impressive third-place finsh, out of 12 teams, at the Metropolitan Championships which featured three other Northeast Conference (NEC) members, today at Van Cortlandt Park.
Rutgers claimed the top spot with 23 points while the Scarlet Knights' Paige Senatore paced the squad with an 18:19.4. Rutgers captured four of the five top individual times while Fordham senior Brianna Tevnan finished second individually, helping the Rams to a runner-up finish.
All six Wagner runners placed in the top 50 individually, led by junior
Lorraine Brancale (Staten Island, NY / St. Joseph Hill/ NYU), who finished 11th overall with a time of 19:05.8. Sophomore
Nicole Bell (Branchville, NJ / Sussex County Technical )
continued her success from September, placing 15th with a time of 19:17.6 while senior
Victoria Spector (Yaphank, NY / Longwood ) finished 31st in 19:53.3.

Heather Wolf (Pine Brook, NJ / Montville Township), junior
Danielle Iacampo (Staten Island, NY / St. John Villa) and freshman
Maria Scalici (Staten Island, NY / Susan E. Wagner) rounded out the team scoring. Wolf posted a 20:18.1, slotting her 38th overall, Icampo ran a 20:22.5 to finish 41st while Scalici recorded a time of 20:25.3, good enough for 44th.Â
Wagner ran the fastest time among NEC competitors with Brancale and Bell having turned in the two quickest times among all NEC participants.
