BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — Wagner's women took second place at the LIU Fall Festival meet on Friday, scoring 46 team points and landing three finishers in the top ten.

Seniors Rylee Ferretti and Victoria Ann Dziubela, alongside sophomore Rehanna Syed, finished third, seventh and eighth for the Seahawks, respectively. The women's 6K course at LIU's Post campus is identical to what Wagner will see at the 2026 NEC Championship meet on October 31.

Ferretti, making her season debut, finished third with a 22:39.84 time to land just behind a pair of runners from CCSU. The Blue Devils won the meet with a combined 26 team points. Behind Ferretti, Dziubela ran a 23:33.63 6K to take seventh place, with Syed just behind for a 24:04.09 time.

Senior Magui Calvo-Jorge was Wagner's fourth finisher, running a 24:27.98 time in her first meet of 2026. Sticking with Calvo-Jorge for a majority of the course was junior Kate Connolly, whose 24:50.80 time rounded out the Seahawks' scoring contingent.

Sophomore Jaslene Merizalde logged a 25:39.17 time, with graduate Angelina Olah just behind at 25:47.09 in her second race of the season. Sophomore Jessica Diaz, running as Wagner's eighth competitor, finished with a 31:04.34 time.

This was an increase in distance for the Seahawks after last week's 5K at Stevens' Back to the Bowl, and an opportunity to feel out the course they will compete on for the conference championships.

Next up, Wagner takes on a unique challenge at Lehigh's Paul Short Run, the nation's largest intercollegiate cross country race. The Seahawks will compete Friday, Oct. 2 at the Skyhawks' Goodman Course in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
