Princeton, NJ – Ten different student-athletes from the Wagner College Track & Field Teams had their season come to an end this weekend, after qualifying for the ECAC & IC4A Championships, which was hosted at Princeton University.

Arguably the most impressive performance by a Wagner athlete on the weekend was put on by Emily Pereira (Howell, NJ / Freehold Township) who competed in the 800 meters. Pereira set a school record, finishing in 16th place in a time of 2:10.15.

This was the fastest 800 meter time ran in the sophomore's career by over three seconds, when she won the Northeast Conference Championship in the 800 meters last weekend at 2:13.75. Pereira's time was also the fastest 800 meters run in the NEC by four seconds this season.

Freshman Samantha Jensen (Ocean Gate, NJ / Central Regional) also put on a show in the 100 meter hurdles for Wagner, qualifying for the semi-finals in the event. Jensen, who ran a personal best 14.33 at the Greyhound Invitational (4/19) to qualify, crossed the line in 14.05 during the preliminary round of the event. Jensen finished in ninth place during the semi-finals, clocking in at 14.18, narrowly missing the finals.

On the Men's side, eight different athletes competed for Wagner. Highlights included:

Senior Alan Kopeloff took 34th in the 110 high hurdles, finishing in 15.27 seconds.

Senior Zachary Spector took 28th in the 10K, clocking in at 33:02.81.

Saquan Mitchell, a sophomore, finished in 27th place in the 100 meters, running the race in 11.01 seconds.

The 4x800 relay team of Daniel Zaccariello, Michael Baio, Darius Moulton, and James Naglieri crossed the finish line in 7:49.02 for 19th place.
