RESULTS
Richmond, VA – The Men and Women of the Wagner Track & Field team scored a number of top finishes at the Fred Hardy Invitational, a two day meet over the weekend hosted by the University of Richmond.
The Seahawks scored a second place finish from junior
Daniel Zaccariello in the 5,000 meter run, finishing in 15:01.72.
Both the Men's and Women's 4x800 relays finished in fourth place on the meet. The Women's team comprised of
Samantha Lauro,
Cameo Kirk,
Victoria Spector, and
Taylor Fredrickson finished in 9:42.00 while the Men's team of
Timothy Mendez,
Darius Moulton,
James Naglieri, and
Zachary Spector crossed the line in 8:00.85.
Wagner also received two individual seventh place finishes from
Samantha Jensen in the 100 hurdles, and
Jacob Malakoff in the 3,000 meter run. The freshman Jensen finished the hurdles in 14.86, while the sophomore Malakoff ran his distance race in 8:40.39.
The Seahawks had one more seventh place finish in a relay, when the Men's 4x100 relay team of
Dante Fernandez,
Saquan Mitchell,
Alan Kopeloff, and
Matthew Kane finished the relay in 44.21 seconds.
Next weekend, the Seahawks will hit the road to the Old Dominion state again, this time to compete in the Coloniel Relays in Williamsburg, Virginia.
