Staten Island, NY – The Wagner women's lacrosse team, fresh off of Thursday's win over Saint Francis University, will look to make it a Northeast Conference (NEC) sweep when the Seahawks host Robert Morris on Saturday at Noon.
The 13-10 win over the Red Flash snapped a five-game losing streak, the Seahawks recorded their first NEC victory of the season and improve their record to 5-6 overall, 1-2 in league play. With the loss, the Red Flash fall to 2-7 on the season, 0-3 in the NEC.
Seahawk sophomore midfielder
Jessica Mills (Vernon, NJ/ Vernon Township) entered the weekend as the NEC leader in points and assists, and added to those totals vs. Saint Francis University, with a two-goal, three-assist afternoon. Mills is now up to 44 points on the season, with 18 goals and 26 assists.
Freshman midfielder
Casey McCarthy (Cypress, TX/ Cy-Fair) added four points vs. the Red Flash with a career-high four-assist outing while sophomore midfielder
Stephanie Peterson (Vernon. NJ/ Vernon Township) had three points thanks to a career-high three-goal performance.
