Louisburg, PA – After a one goal win and a one goal loss the week before, Wagner was able to take it to Brown today, beating the Bears 13-5 in the final game of the Bucknell Invite. With the win, the Seahawks improve to 5-3 on the year, after going 2-2 this weekend.
Wagner was able to get off to a fast start, scoring five goals in the first quarter while allowing zero to the opposition. Freshman
Lily Doerfler (Annapolis, MD / Broadneck) was a big part of this, scoring the three of the first four goals, and assisting fellow freshman Jessica Lundgren (Queensland, Australia / Mountain Creek) on another.

Laura Karbach (Abington, PA / Germantown Academy) allowed just two first half goals as Brown was able to find the net twice in the second quarter. On the game, Karbach had nine blocks, three steals, and added an assist.
Jessica Burdge (Stockton, CA / St. Mary's) and Doerfler led Wagner in scoring once again, as the sophomore Burdge found the net five times, while Doerfler scored four goals. Both players also added one assist each.
Lundgren also came up big on the offensive end, scoring two goals, while adding six steals and two assists. Junior
Stacy McGregor (Sinking Spring, PA / Wilson) had one goal, one assist, and drew two exclusions that led to Wagner goals, while sophomore
Michelle Greenough (Davis, CA / Davis) tallied three assists on the afternoon.
The Green and White will head to Philadelphia next weekend, Feb. 23-24, to take part in the MAAC/CWPA Crossover. Wagner will go up against two unfamiliar foes in Harvard and George Washington on Feb. 23, before a redemption match against Princeton the following day. The Tigers knocked off Wagner 16-8 in the second game of the Bucknell Invite yesterday.

For the tournament, Wagner out-scored its opponents 45-38. On the season, the Seahawks now have an 80-62 edge in the scoring column.
Laura Karbach added 33 blocks in four games of the Bucknell Invite, while giving up 38 goals. Through eight games, the senior has 65 blocks and has given up 64 goals, for a .504 save percentage.
Jessica Burdge was the MAAC Offensive Player of the Week last week, after scoring 11 goals and adding one assist in four game of the Brown Invite. The sophomore surpassed her offensive output from a week ago, scoring 13 goals and adding four assists. On the season, Burdge leads Wagner with 24 goals, averaging 3.0 goals per game.
Lily Doerfler scored nine goals for the tournament, increasing her season total to 17 goals.
