Louisburg, PA – The Seahawks battled, but dropped the second game of the Bucknell Invitational to #10 Princeton, 16-8. Junior
Stacy McGregor (Sinking Spring, PA / Wilson) and freshman
Jess Lundgren (Queensland, Australia / Mountain Creek) paced Wagner with two goals each.
Wagner got off to a slow start as the Tigers took a 7-3 lead into the second half. Princeton scored six goals in the third quarter to Wagner's two, which seemed to be the difference maker as both teams found the net three times in the final frame.
Goalie
Laura Karbach (Abington, PA / Germantown Academy) had six blocks in the game, along with one assist and one steal.
Senior
Katie Jordan (Westlake Village, CA / Agoura) had two assists on the game, while
Rachel Burns (Greenlane, Auckland, New Zealand / Diocesan School for Girls) and
Jessica Burdge (Stockton, CA / St. Mary's) had a goal and an assist each.
The Seahawks will have an 8:00 a.m. game against Indiana tomorrow morning, before a 1:50 p.m. contest with Brown, whom Wagner has split with already in the young season.
