Wagner Participates In CCSU Mini Meet

Wagner placed 11th out of 15 teams at Stanley Quarter Park in the 3K CCSU Mini Meet in the final race before next week's Northeast Conference (NEC) Championship Championship. Providence and UMass tied for the team title with 78 points apiece while Bryant's Eimear Black won the individual crown with a time of 9:47.

Led by Black's finish, the Bulldogs finished third (117 points), followed by UNH (129 points), Binghamton (138 points), Yale (146 points), Quinnipiac (154 points), Stony Brook (165 points), Central Connecticut (198 points), Rhode Island (219 points), Wagner 330 points), St. Francis Brooklyn (341 points), Fairleigh Dickinson (357 points), Fairfield (406 points) and Hartford (417 points).

Senior Samantha Lauro (Staten Island, NY / St. John Villa) set the pace for the Seahawks, finishing 55th in 10:54.01, followed by classmate Alexis Bivona (Staten Island, NY / St. John Villa) in 63rd (11:01.56). Junior Heather Wolf (Pine Brook, NY / Montville Township) was the next Green & White harrier to finish, placing 71st in 11:07.12.

Freshman Nicole Bell (Montague, NJ / Sussex County Technical) finished 97th in 11:29.05 while sophomore Danielle Iacampo (Staten Island, NY / St. John Villa) placed 109th with a mark of 11:41.19 to round out the scorers for Wagner.

The Seahawks return to action on Saturday, November 2 at the aforementioned conference meet on the campus of Saint Francis University.
