RESULTS
Emmitsburg, MD – The Wagner women's soccer team fell to Mount St. Mary's 3-0 this Friday night, falling to 1-2-0 in NEC play and 8-4-1 on the season. Mount St. Mary's improves to 3-6-2 on the season and 1-1-0 in conference play.
The Mount started things off, with Emma Blair firing a shot from 18 yards out that found the goal in the 21st minute to bring the score to 1-0. Ragan Cote extended Mount St. Mary's lead in the 43rd minute, when she knocked the ball in to make it a 2-0 contest.
In the 75th minute, The Mount put the game to bed, when Kate Murphy's free kick from 25 yards out soared into the goal. Wagner was unable to answer before time expired. The Mount is now 12-9 versus Wagner in the all-time series.
During the match, 21 Seahawks saw action. Wagner outshot The Mount 14-13, while goalkeeper
Katie Marcy (Bellmore, NY/John F. Kennedy) made four saves.
The Green & White return to action on Sunday, October 13th, when they travel to Fairleigh Dickinson for a 1:00 p.m. tilt.
