Lakewood, NJ – Behind a career-best third place from sophomore
Ellen Huffman (Lima, OH / Lima Central Catholic), the Wagner College women's golf team picked up a sixth place team finish at the Monmouth Invitational this weekend.
Huffman came out firing right from day one, posting a plus-six, 78, in the opening round, before besting her previous score by one stroke on day two, carding a 77, to put her in a tie for third place at the conclusion of the two-day event.

Christopher Fourman. “This was a super start to the spring season as she prepares to compete against the best golfers in the conference at the Northeast Conference championships in a few weeks. We definitely have things to work on to score better as a team and we need to do a better job of taking care of the golf ball. As we continue to practice harder in the coming weeks, I am confident that we will come together as a team.”

Kathryn Jimerson (El Paso, TX / Coronado), who scored a 179 (92-87), finishing in a tie for 30
