Staten Island, NY - Today's game between Wagner and Lafayette marks the first-ever meeting between the schools. The Leopards enter today's play with a 1-0 record having earned a 15-3 victory over Liberty on February 18.

The Seahawks are 0-1 following a 16-7 home defeat to Villanova on February 18. In this contest, the Wildcats raced out to a 9-0 halftime lead before the Seahawks roared back at the outset of the second half, rattling off five unanswered goals in closing the deficit to 10-7.

Villanova then righted itself, scoring the final six goals of the game en route to the victory.

Wagner's comeback bid vs. the Wildcats was buoyed by a career-tying five-goal performance by senior attacker Carolyn Clark (Syracuse, NY/ Westhill) who was rewarded for her efforts by being named Northeast Conference Player of the Week. One of the most prolific school's offensive players in Seahawk history, Clark is now eighth  on the school's all-time points list points list with 118 and is ninth all-time in draw controls with 87.
