FINAL RESULTS
Holmdel, NJ – Fueled by a strong showing from sophomore
Alexis Bivona (Staten Island, NY / St. John Villa), the Wagner women's cross country team took seventh out of 12 teams in the 6K Monmouth Invitational at Holmdel Park. Bivona was the first Seahawk harrier to cross the finish line, placing 28th in 19:38.6.
Narrowly behind Bivona was junior
Taylor Fredrickson (Staten Island, NY / Tottenville), who took 36th in 20:00.9.
The sophomore tandem of
Cameo Kirk (Ocean Port, NJ / Shore Regional) and
Samantha Lauro (Staten Island, NY / St. John Villa) continued their rapid improvement finishing 53rd (20:24.5) and 55th (20:27.6), respectively.
Rounding out the scorers for the Green & White was freshman
Heather Wolf (Pine Brook, NJ / Montville Township), placing fifth on the team and 71st overall in 20:59.1.
Quinnipiac won the team title with 43 points, followed by Rutgers (71), Monmouth (93), Sacred Heart (101), East Stroudsburg (121), Robert Morris (167), Wagner (204), Mount St. Mary's (230), CCSU (237), Bryant (265), St. Francis (NY) (286) and FDU (379).
The Seahawks are next in action on Saturday, September 24 when the Green & White participate in the Ted Owen Invitational at Stanley Quarter Park in New Britain, CT.
