Sam Morin (Rockville Centre, NY/ South Side) scored two goals apiece but Kelsey Russo led all scorers with five goals for Sacred Heart as the Pioneers posted a 19-7 victory over Wagner.
A Morin goal with nine seconds remaining in the first half drew the Seahawks to within three goals at 9-6 entering halftime. But the Pioneers had the hot hand in the second half, scoring five answered goals to extend the lead to 14-6. Sophomore attack Annie O'Connor (Syracuse, NY/ Westhill) briefly stemmed the tide with a goal at the 21:47 mark, but the Pioneers would go on to end the game with a 5-0 run in fashioning the final score at 19-7.

Lauren Petrik (Syracuse, NY/ Baldwinsville) scored one goal and added a team-high two assists while junior midfielder
Melanie Garces (San Diego, CA/ Westview) tallied one assist.
Sacred Heart out-shot the Seahawks 41-15, led in ground balls 15-9 and held a 21-7 edge in draw controls. The Pioneers were 2-of-7 on free position shots while the Seahawks were 0-of-2 on free position shots. Junior 3

Morgan Roach (Syracuse, NY/ Westhill) combined to record 14 saves in goal for the Seahawks.
In addition to Russo's five goals, four Pioneers registered three goals apiece in Katie Kmiotek, Kaitlin Rochler, Shelby Vaccaro and Emily Pepe. In goal, Megan Pepe recorded four saves for Sacred Heart.
With the loss, the Seahawks fall to 3-11 overall, 2-5 in Northeast Conference play while the Pioneers improve to 5-9 on the season and 4-3 in conference play.
The Seahawks will host Bryant on Thursday, April 21 at 4:00 pm before closing out the 2011 season with a Senior Day showdown vs. Central Connecticut St. on Saturday, April 23.
NOTES – Clark continues to lead the team in goals (24) and points (29) while Petrik is tops on the team in assists (15) and second in points (25). Garces is the team-leader in draw controls with 24 while senior
