Staten Island, NY – The Wagner College women's lacrosse team fell behind 13-4 and put together a valiant comeback effort but Quinnipiac was able to hang on for the 15-11 victory.

With the loss, the Seahawks fall to 3-9 on the season, 2-4 in NEC play while the Bobcats move to 7-4 overall and a perfect 6-0 in conference play.

Wagner outshot the Bobcats 29-25 while ground balls were even at 20 apiece while Quinnipiac held a 15-13 edge in draw controls.

Carolyn Clark (Syracuse, NY/Westhill) spearheaded the Wagner comeback with three late goals.

The Seahawks are next in action on Friday, April 9 when they travel to Long Island to meet the Blackbirds.
