Staten Island, NY - Playing for the second time in as many days the Wagner men's tennis team (0-2) dropped a 7-0 decision to Fordham (1-3) at the Wagner Tennis Courts.

In singles action, freshman Taylor Santoro (Absecon, NJ / St. Augustine Prep) fell to Dallas Harting in straight sets, 6-0, 6-2 at No. 1. At No. 2 singles, Brandon Abbatiello bested junior Yirmeyah Beckles (Cincinnati, OH / Aquinas College) 6-2, 6-2. At third singles, graduate student Nick Lezoli (Staten Island, NY / Farrell) was defeated by Kevin Maloney, 6-0, 6-0. At No. 4 singles, Alexander DeRienzo handed freshman Pierre Yuzon (Bakersfield, CA / Centennial) a 6-0, 6-0 loss. At the fifth spot, senior Zac Lewis (Colorado Springs, CO / Palmer) lost in his collegiate debut to Jordan Brown, 6-0, 6-0. Rounding out singles play, sophomore Nick Apicella (Peekskill, NY / Peekskill) lost to Eli Plangger 6-0, 6-0.

The Rams claimed the doubles point, winning all three matches by scores of 8-2 (No. 1), 8-2 (No. 2) and 8-0 (No. 3).

Wagner is next in action on Saturday, October 10 when the Seahawks travel to Mount St. Mary's.
