Philadelphia, PA – Wagner College Men's Outdoor Track & Field set a new 2009 season best in the 4x400 meter relay at the Penn Relays held in Philadelphia, PA this weekend. The men finished in eighth place with time of 3:23.58 seconds.

The four athletes representing the Seahawks were sophomore Derek Schultz (Ocean Port, NJ/Shore Regional), junior Matt Reidy (West Long Branch, NJ/Shore Regional), junior Kevin Kearney (Haddonfield, NJ/St. Joe's Prep), and junior Matt Villane (Monmouth Beach, NJ/Shore Regional).

The team's time of 3:23.58 seconds was nearly four seconds better than the previous season-best of 3:27.29 seconds, set at the University of Virginia on April 11th. Wagner's school record for the event is 3:15.9, set in 1979.
