Seahawks Edged by Brown in Semifinals

BOXSCORE

Poughkeepsie, NY –
Wagner College dropped a 9-6 decision to second-seeded Brown University in the semifinals of the ECAC Women's Collegiate Water Polo Championships Saturday night. The loss means the Seahawks will compete for third place honors against George Washington University tomorrow at 12: 00 PM.

The Green & White earned an 11-5 victory over the fourth-seeded George Washington Colonials in their season-opening game at the Princeton Invitational last week. In that game the trio of Chelsea Beck (Reading, PA/Wilson), Sara Olguin (Whittier, CA/Sonora), and Alex Tomlinson (Telford, PA/Souderton) accounted for six of Wagner's 11 goals scored. The Seahawks capped the win with five goals in the third period while goalie Kelsey Rodgers (Anaheim Hills, CA/Fullerton JC) made 11 saves in victory.
