Princeton, NJ – The Wagner College Water Polo team fell to 1-3 on the season with two loses Sunday after splitting Saturday's competitions 1-1 at the Princeton Invitational.
Wagner 11, George Washington 5
The Seahawks made quick work of George Washington University in their first game Saturday morning. Leading the way for the Green & White on offense was the trio of
Chelsea Beck (Reading, PA/Wilson),
Sara Olguin (Whittier, CA/Sonora), and Alex Tomlinson (Telford, PA/Souderton). Together they accounted for six of Wagner's 11 points. The Seahawks opened up a 4-2 lead before exploding for five goals in the third period to put the game out of reach. Goalie
Kelsey Rodgers (Anaheim Hills, CA/Fullerton JC) made 11 saves to preserve the season-opening win.

Wagner 8, Bucknell 9 OT
Bucknell University squeaked by the Seahawks in game two of Saturday's double-header. Sophomore utility Lauren vanderBent (Shillington, PA/Mifflin) led the Green & White with two goals scored, but it was the Bucknell Bison who opened up a 4-1 score to take firm control of the game. A late Wagner rally tied the score before Bucknell claimed the win thanks to overtime tally.

Wagner 7, Maryland 10
The Seahawks weathered the storm against the University of Maryland, as the Wagner squad fell behind 4-2 in the first half. The Green & White were outscored 6-5 in the second half as they fell to 1-2 in their first contest on Sunday.
Lauren French (Colmar, PA/North Penn) and
Nicole Maichrowicz (Temple City, CA/Temple City) added two goals apiece as a second Wagner come-back came up just short.

In their final contest, the Seahawks dropped a hard-fought 4-3 battle to tournament host Princeton University. The Seahawks held a 3-2 advantage at the half but were shut-out from there on.
