Scouting Colgate - Colgate has emerged as a darkhorse in the Patriot League, starting 3-0 after winning just five games last year and one in 2007-2008. Leading the rebirth has been freshman guard Jhazmine Lynch, who is averaging a team-best 14.7 ppg with 3.0 apg. Lynch is shooting 80.8 percent from the charity stripe, going 21-26.

Junior Sami Kozlowski (12.3 ppg, 5.0 rpg) and classmate Kendra Brim (12.0 ppg, 5.0 rpg) round out the double-digit scorers. Sophomore Tricia Oakes has been a dependable force off the bench, averaging 9.3 ppg on 64.7 percent (11-17) shooting while pulling down a team-best 6.7 rpg.

Last Year vs. Colgate -
Senior John'a Poole's bank shot from 10 feet out with 1.2 seconds remaining off a nifty feed from classmate Andrea Reed lifted Wagner to a dramatic 58-56 overtime win over Colgate at the Spiro Sports Center.

Junior Nyoto Patterson also had her best game to date for the Seahawks, scoring a career-high 10 points with a career-best six rebounds in just 14 minutes. Reed led all scorers with 15 points, all of which were scored after halftime.

Katie Garman led Colgate and matched her career-high with 13 points off the bench. She also recorded eight rebounds and four steals.

Patriot League = Last-Second Wins -
The Green & White played against two teams from the Patriot League last year in Army and Colgate. In both meetings, the Seahawks had to come back from eight-point deficits and won both with last-second jumpers off the glass.

Up Next -
Wagner hosts Siena in the Seahawks' home-opener on Tuesday, November 24 at 7:00 pm.
