Staten Island, NY – The Wagner College women's swim team walked away with its fourth win of the season after defeating the NJIT Highlanders, 130-21. With the win the Seahawks move to 4-2 overall, 3-0 in Northeast Conference action.
In the competition, the Seahawks finished first in all of the nine scored events of the evening. The Seahawks' first win came in the 200 Medley Relay with their time of 1:57.50. The team consisted of sophomore

Melanie Rodriguez-Lapman (Chesire, CT / Chesire), freshman
Tatum Colitz (Wyomissing, PA / Wilson) and freshman
Amber Weech (Nassau, Bahamas / Saint Augustine's). In the 1000 freestyle, junior
Bethny Brown (Enfield, CT / Ennco Fermi High) finished in first-place, touching the wall at 11:17.36. Freshman
Dana Samuel (Rivonia/ South Africa / Crawford College) picked up a win in the 200 freestyle, clocking in at 2:06.95.
Keeping the momentum going, junior
Sarah Plucinsky (Allentown, PA / Allentown Central Catholic) garnered first-place in the 50 freestyle with her time of 26.37. Senior
Jessica Hart (Montreal, Canada / Northwest) also received a win with her performance in the 200 IM (2:17.81). In the sixth event of the evening, Guenther extended the Seahawks lead with her mark of 1:02.70 in the 100 butterfly. Rodriguez-Lapman led the pack in the 100 freestyle, finishing in first with a time of 55.75.
Sophomore
Lauren Meyer (Hamden, CT / Hamden HS) finished atop of the field in the 100 backstroke with her time of 1:05.57. Plucinsky rounded out the Seahawks first-place finishers with her 5:38.43 in the 500 freestyle.
The Seahawks also finished the meet with nine second-place finishes and five third-place finishes.
The Green & White are back in action Friday, November 20th when they travel to Boston, MA to compete in the Harvard Invite.
