Wagner Men’s and Women’s Basketball Teams to Face FDU in Road Doubleheader Tonight

Staten Island, NY – The Wagner College men's and women's basketball teams make the short trek across the Hudson River to meet NEC rival Fairleigh Dickinson tonight with the women's game to tip off at 5:30 pm followed by the men's tilt at 8:00 pm. The Wagner women's team enters tonight's play with a 4-8 record and a mark of 0-2 in the NEC. Wagner is coming off a 65-58 home loss to St. Francis (NY) on Saturday. The Seahawks continue to be paced by prolific junior guard Andrea Reed (Pocomoke City, MD / Pocomoke), who is averaging a team-high 15.3 points along with an NEC-leading 4.9 assists per game. The FDU women's team brings a 3-7 overall record and a 2-1 NEC mark into tonight's game. 

The Wagner men's team enters tonight's fray with record of 8-4, 1-1 in the NEC. The Seahawks earned a gutsy 80-78 come-from-behind victory over St. Francis (NY) at home on Saturday night behind a 23-point, career-high 14-rebound effort from senior forward Llew Radford (Newport News, VA/ Heritage). 

Fifth-year senior guard Joey Mundweiler (Olathe, KS / Olathe East) leads the Seahawks in scoring at 14.1 points per game, followed by fifth-year senior forward Jamal Smith (Baltimore, MD/ Towson Catholic) and Radford who check in at 13.8 and 12.9 points per game, respectively. Smith and Mundweiler both recently reached the 1,000-point mark in their Seahawk careers.
