FINAL RESULTS
New York, NY – The Seahawks registered six season-high marks at the Metropolitan Intercollegiate Indoor Championships held at the Armory Track & Field Center on Thursday night. Among them was
Thomas Iannacone (Havertown, PA/St. Joe's Prep), who finished the 1 mile run in 4:22.78 seconds – the third fastest time in the Northeast Conference this season.
Iannacone's 4:22.78 finish was a season-high for the Seahawks in the event. He topped his previous best of 4:29.9 set on December 12th at the Fordham Classic. Iannacone finished eighth overall in the event.
Also claiming team-highs were sophomore
Derek Schultz (Ocean Port, NJ/Shore Regional) and junior
Kevin Kearney (Haddonfield, NJ/St. Joe's Prep). Schultz made his impact in the 500 meter run, registering a 1:06.72 mark for 16th place overall. His finish is the tenth best in the NEC so far and the best Seahawk time in the event this winter. Kearney add an impressive 11th place finish in the 800 meter run. His 1:57.62 finish is eighth best in the Conference and bests his previous mark by nearly two seconds.
Sophomore
Derek Rammelkamp (Miller Place, NY/Miller Place) shattered the season-best mark at the 3000 meter run, clocking in at 8:48.82. His finish is the eighth best in the NEC and the Seahawks' best by nearly seven seconds.
NOTES - Wagner's 4x400 meter relay team continued their hot streak with a season-best 3:26.40 finish. They had set the previous mark of 3:26.94 the week before at the Great Dane Classic
