The Wagner College Seahawks (2-1) and the Loyola Marymount Lions (0-4) clash for the second straight season tonight at the Spiro Center in a 7:00 pm tip.

On Dec. 22, 2007, Wagner earned a thrilling 82-79 overtime win in Los Angeles and marked the first of five overtime wins for the Seahawks on the season. Since graduated senior guard Mark Porter led Wagner with 26 that day while Joey Mundweiler, who is coming off a season-high 17-point outing vs. Stony Brook, had 20 points vs. the Lions. 

Mundweiler's outing vs. the Seawolves on Saturday supported the 21-point outburst by fellow fifth-year senior Jamal Smith as Wagner earned a gritty 65-62 road victory. The win came on the heels of a 59-44 home win over Saint Peter's on Nov. 19. 

A member of the West Coast Conference, the Lions are a deceiving 0-4 as tthey have played a very demanding early schedule. LMU dropped three games in the Iowa State's World Vision Classic, losing to UW-Milwaukee (75-51), host Iowa St. (67-55) and UC Davis (64-55). On Friday night, the Lions gave No. 8 Notre Dame of the BIG EAST a battle in front of a school-record crowd, hanging with the Fighting Irish until falling 65-54.
