Staten Island, NY – Wagner was denied 7-0 by La Salle in non-conference tennis action at the Wagner Tennis Courts. The Seahawks are now 0-5 while the Explorers are 5-2

At No. 1 singles, sophomore John LeBlanc (Staten Island, NY / Tottenville) was defeated by Joe Maula 7-5, 6-0. Freshman Marcelo Ensignia (Madrid, Spain / Saint Andrew's Academy) put up a good fight at No. 2 before losing to Matt Riviera 6-2, 6-4. At No. 3 singles, sophomore Yirmeyah Beckles (Cincinnati, OH / Aquinas College) was set down by Andy Petrusky 6-1, 6-0. Junior Ben Serbiak (Washington Crossing, PA / Holy Ghost Prep) was blanked 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 singles by Morgan Abrams-Nicholas. At the five-spot, senior Sheldon Wilson (Albany, NY / Albany) lost to Justin Feiner 6-1, 6-2. Rounding out singles' play, freshman Robert Santana (North Haledon, NJ / Manchester Regional) was felled by Fernando Tovia 6-0, 6-1 at No. 6 singles.

La Salle won the doubles' point, claiming all three matches.
