Zachary Spector (Yaphank, NY / Longwood)
The four-year standout, Spector recently captured his school-record fourth All-Northeast Conference (NEC) honor with an 11th-place finish at the 2011 Conference Championship at Holmdel Park on Saturday, October 29, while helping Wagner finish seventh out of 12 teams. Spector clocked a time of 27:10.70 and would have most likely have finished higher had he not fell midway through the run due to slick conditions as a result of the Nor'easter that has wreaked havoc on the Northeast. Spector began his month with an impressive performance at the 8K Father O’Neil Invitational (10/15) in Fairfield, CT. The senior harrier won his second career individual title with a mark of 26:24 before prepping for the annual NEC meet with a team-best finish of 11th (27:10.70) at the 5K CCSU Mini-Meet (10/21). He will next compete in the NCAA Regional Meet in the NCAA Regional Championship at the Audubon Golf Course in Amherst, NY, on Saturday, November 12.
