Mallory Lee (Newark, CA / Moreau Catholic)
First-year diver, Mallory Lee has been named the Wagner College Female Athlete of the Month after kickstarting her collegiate career in a big way, snapping two school records and picking up first place honors in her first ever meet. The Golden State Native opened up the season against Bryant (10/15), winning both the one and three-meter board events, and snapping both school records , en route to her first Northeast Conference Diver of the Week honor. A week later, Lee again led the Seahawks against formidable NEC and non-conference talent, earning two sixth place finishes on the boards, and finishing in second among all NEC divers. Lee wrapped up the month, receiving her second NEC Diver of the Week accolade, after two second place finishes against Iona, Saint Francis (NY) and Sacred Heart. Lee’s scores put her atop all NEC competitors, as she has placed in the top half of the field in all three of the Green and White’s competitions this season. The Seahawks swimming & diving team will be back in action on Friday, November 4, when they travel across the outer bridge to Rutgers University for a 4:00 p.m. start.
