Senior goalkeeper Katie Marcy (Bellmore, NY / John F. Kennedy) was a force in the net during August, helping the Seahawks to three wins, while allowing only two goals in four games. For her efforts, Marcy is the Walsh Electric Female Student-Athlete of the Month for August. The senior allowed both of those goals in a 2-0 season opening loss at Manhattan on August 22, before going on to register three consecutive shutout victories. In victories over Iona (1-0, 8/24), Saint Peter’s (2-0, 8/29), and Stony Brook (2-0, 8/31), Marcy combined for 20 saves as the Seahawks ended the month on a string of 290:45 minutes without allowing a goal.
