One of the bright young talents in the Northeast Conference, freshman Anton Frondelius (Munkedal, Sweden / The Gunnery) is the Wagner College Walsh Electrical Contracting Men's Student-Athlete of the Month for October after delivering a stellar sixth-place finish in the 79^th annual New England Intercollegiate Championship on October 27-28. This 36-hole championship featured 189 competitors representing 38 different colleges. Frondelius followed up his opening-round 74 with a 75 in round two., to finish at five-over par and just three shots out of the lead. In addition to placing sixth individually, his efforts led Wagner to a 10^th-place finish in the team competition. The NEIGA Championship was the final event of the 2013 fall season for the Seahawks. It marked Frondelius’ second top-10 finish as he signaled his arrival with an eye-opening second-place finish at the 54-hole Colgate Invitational at the Seven Oaks Golf Club in Hamilton, NY on September 6-7.
