Freshman Samantha Jensen has been named the Bridge Financial Group Wagner College Female Athlete of the Month for December after playing a key role in helping Wagner to a second-place finish at the Fordham Season Opener in the Bronx on December 8. On that day, the Garden State native ran to a first-place tie in the 60 meters, finishing in 7.6 seconds while also placing first in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.6 seconds. Jensen continued her productive day by placing third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.9. The Seahawks opened their season on December 1 at the Monmouth Invitational and Jensen quickly made her presence felt, finishing in second in the 60-meter dash with a mark of 8.08 seconds. Also a member of the Green & White soccer team, she played in 17 games, with five starts, in the fall.
