Senior attacker Carolyn Clark (Syracuse, NY/ Westhill) is the April Female Student-Athlete of the Month as she paced Wagner with 21 points on 19 goals and two assists during the Seahawks’ six games. The high water mark of her month came on April 13 when she poured in seven goals vs. the Monmouth Hawks at Wagner College Stadium, with the seven goals were one shy of the school-record of eight goals. Clark had several other high-octane offensive games during April. In a road game at LIU Brooklyn Clark shook free for four goals and one assist vs. the Blackbirds on April 5. Clark capped her brilliant career with another four-goal, one assist outing in the season finale at Saint Francis (PA), a 13-9 Seahawk victory on April 22. Clark’s fourth multiple-goal game of the month was a three-goal affair at Robert Morris on April 20. On April 27, Clark was named to the All-Northeast Conference (NEC) Second Team in a vote by the league’s head coaches. The Syracuse, NY native led the league in goals (52) and goals per game (3.06) and scored three or more goals 11 times this season, six of which were conference games. She also enjoyed three five-goal games as well as three four-goal efforts. Clark also earned NEC Player of the Week honors during the weeks of February 20 and March 5. Clark wound up her sterling Seahawk career third all-time in goals (148) and total points (173), second in shots (350) and seventh in draw controls (108). On the single-season charts, Clark’s 2012 season saw her finish third in points (60), third in goals (52) and second in shots (123).
