Goalkeeper Delaney Beck (Bakersfield, CA / Garces Memorial) is the Seahawk Athlete of the Month for August. In an August 20 contest at Delaware State, the sophomore came forward 112 minutes into the game, converting on a direct free kick from 39 yards out to lift the Wagner College women's soccer team to a 2-1 overtime victory over the Hornets in helping the Seahawks to their first victory of the season. In goal, the second-year netminder has turned away nine shots in the first three games, as the Green and White stayed unbeaten throughout the of August, entering September with a 2-0-1 record.
