Matt Sefcik (Towaco, NJ / Morristown Beard), a sophomore goalie on the men's lacrosse team came up with a career-high 17 saves in leading the Seahawks’ to one of their top wins in program history, a thrilling 9-8 victory over Patriot League member Lafayette on February 17. For his efforts, Sefcik was named Northeast Conference (NEC) Defensive Player of the Week. For the month, second-year Seahawk recorded 54 saves in Wagner’s four games, registering a .551 save percentage and an average of 13.5 saves per game which ranks second in the NEC. In addition to his 17-save outing vs. Lafayettte, Sefcik recorded 14 saves against No. 10 Rutgers (2/28), 13 vs. Manhattan (2/11) and 10 vs. Monmouth (2/21).
