Liam Harris (Cork, Ireland/Kent School (CT) concluded his dominant freshman campaign this past weekend at the Northeast Conference (NEC) Cross Country Championships, in which the first-year Seahawk took home third place honors in the event en route to claiming the NEC Freshman of the Year and being named to the All-Conference Team. For Harris, he becomes just the second Seahawk in program history to be named NEC Freshman of the Year, joining former harrier great Derek Rammelkamp ['10], who won the award back in 2007, as the only runners in Wagner history to accomplish the feat. A three-time NEC Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week selection for the season, the Cork, Ireland neophyte has been the top finisher for the Green & White in five of six meets this season, which included a pair of first-place finishes at the Monmouth Invitational (9/17) and the NJIT Highlander Challenge (10/8/16).Â
