Biography
Before Wagner: Varela joins the Seahawks as a redshirt senior after one season at Idaho State, where she appeared in 20 games during the 2024-25 campaign. She tallied a season-high 8 points and 4 rebounds against Arizona Christian and averaged 1.0 point and 0.5 rebounds per game. Varela redshirted the 2023-24 season and previously played two years at Pima Community College. As a sophomore at Pima, she started 24 of 25 games and averaged 8.0 points and 3.4 rebounds per game. Varela took part in the Women's AfroBasketball Tournament as a part of the Angolan Senior National Team during the summer of 2025.
