Scholastic/Personal:
Emily Adams, a physical 6-4 center, played for one of Georgia’s in perennial girls basketball powers in Buford High School. As a senior, Adams helped the Wolves to a 22-8 record, a berth in the AA State Finals, to the 6AA Region Title and a No. 10 ranking in the Final MaxPreps.com Power Rating.
 
Nicknamed “Em”, Adams was a high school teammate of rising senior guard Kaela Davis, one of the nation’s top talents, who originally verballed to Tennessee before re-opening her recruitment, as well as forward Kristina Nelson, who is a freshman at Notre Dame. Following her senior season, Adams was selected to play in the prestigious fifth annual Gwinnett Senior All-Star Basketball Game.
 
“Emily has a tremendous upside. I’ve seen Emily play, as I was recruiting players who played against her and who were on her same team,” said Seahawk head coach Lisa Cermignano. “She comes out of a very, very good AAU and high school program. She is going to bring a presence to the block that we need, has great hands, skill-work and feet. Emily has a passion for the game, she wants to be great. So, again, I think her upside is huge.”
 
During her junior season, Buford fashioned a 29-3 record, highlighted by a 16-1 mark in the Class 6-AA Division while copping the 6-AA Region Championship.

“Em is a post player who waited her turn to step in and help our program and she played an important role in our lineup in her senior year, said Buford head coach Gene Durden. “She has worked very hard to polish her skills, and condition her body. She has solid post skills around the basket to go along with a very nice 17-foot shooting touch.”
 
A tremendous student, Adams is interested in pursuing a career in the medical field. She has one sibling, a brother named Kelly (26).
