Amanda Beltran

Wagner head softball coach Lindsey Ubrun has announced the hiring of Amanda Beltran as an assistant coach.  

A native of Orange County, California, Beltran was an accomplished catcher at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. A four-year starter for the Mocs under coach Frank Reed, Beltran started in all fifty-four contests during the 2019 season in which the Mocs finished with a 37-17 record and won the Southern Conference Championship. In the championship game against the University of North Carolina Greensboro, Beltran hit a grand slam in the first inning. During her senior season in 2019, she batted .309 while setting career highs in home runs (12), RBIs (43), hits (47), and runs (20). 

Individually, Beltran's most successful season came in 2016, as she was named to the All-Southern Conference Second Team, All-Freshman Team, and Southern Conference All-Tournament Team. That season, Beltran led the Mocs in home runs and slugging percentage while boasting a 1.000 fielding percentage on 90 putouts. 

Beltran earned a Bachelor of Science in Family & Child Development while being a Dean's List Honoree and Athletic Director's Honor Roll four times. 

In addition to her coaching duties, Beltran will be pursuing a Master's degree at Wagner.
