Mitchell Rupp enters his second year on the Wagner men's lacrosse staff as an Assistant Coach, having arrived on Grymes Hill in September, 2016.
Rupp, who earned a bachelor’s degree in 2016 from UAlbany while majoring in business with a concentration in Information Technology Management, was a three-time member of the America East Conference Honor Roll. On the lacrosse field, he was a four-year attackman for a Great Danes’ team that won the America East title in 2013, 2014, and 2015 and participated in the NCAA tournament from 2013-2016.
“I’m excited to add Mitch to our coaching staff,” Poskay said. “As a recent player in a top program, he adds value to our program in many areas and will be able to relate very well to our guys.”
Prior to moving on to UAlbany, Rupp enjoyed after a decorated high school career at Victor High School in upstate New York.
Apart from his experience as a player, Rupp also brings a coaching background to Grymes Hill, as he was the head coach of the Blaze Lacrosse Club senior team in 2016 and a counselor at the X10 Summer Lacrosse Camp.
In addition to his coaching duties, Rupp will pursue his Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing at Wagner.
