Shawn Postiglione


One of the nation's youngest Division I men's basketball coaches, Shawn Postiglione’s coaching career is certainly on a fast track. 

Postiglione, who enters his third season as a member of the Seahawk coaching staff, is involved in a myriad of functions within the Wagner basketball program, including on-court coaching, academic oversight, as well as heading up the Seahawks’ extensive video editing and video exchange programs.

An exceptional student, the 22-year old spent one year each as an undergraduate at Lafayette College and NYU before transferring to Wagner, from where he earned his undergraduate in May of 2008, earning his bachelors of science degree in just thee years. He is presently on track to earn an MBA here at Wagner in the fall of 2009.

In addition to excelling in the classroom, Postiglione served as a student assistant coach with the Seahawks in 2007-08. 

During his high school career, Postiglione earned All-Star Staten Island CHSAA honors during his junior and senior years at Moore Catholic HS, where he was a teammate of Notre Dame standout Kyle McAlarney.
