Before Wagner: Attended Xaverian High School in Brooklyn… Last season for the Clippers, he batted .302 (19-for-63) with ten runs scored while connecting on two home runs and drove in 11… Had six doubles to his credit as well… Posted an OPS of .845, highlighted by a slugging percentage of .492… As the team shortstop, had 33 assists with a fielding percentage of .900 and forced eight double plays in 23 games… Made five appearances on the mound, going 2-0 with a 1.09 ERA in 19.1 innings… Struck out 24 batters while yielding just five walks and holding opponents to a .173 batting average… As a junior, he batted .274 in 21 games (17-for-62) with a home run and 13 RBIs… Had two doubles while scoring nine runs… In the field, recorded a .942 fielding percentage with 41 assists and was credited with seven double plays started….
