Eddie Brown

Eddie Brown embarks on his fifth season on Wagner baseball staff, his third as an assistant coach.

On the field, Brown will work with the infielders for the 2016 season, after spending the past couple of years working primarily with the Green & White outfielders.  Additionally, Brown will oversee the offense and return coaching third base.

In addition to his role on the Wagner bench as assistant coach, Brown will serve as the Seahawks’ recruiting coordinator.

An infielder by trade, Brown played two years for the Green & White, and was head coach Jim Carone’s starting shortstop for the 2012 season, Carone’s first season as Wagner head coach.

In 2012, Brown batted a team-leading .314 as a senior, with a team-high 15 doubles while smashing three home runs and driving in 36 RBIs.  On the bases, Brown was threat to steal, swiping 22 bags over 49 games as the team’s shortstop.

In 2011, his first season after sitting out the 2010 campaign after transferring from Seton Hall, Brown was the team’s starting second baseman, hitting .277 but when NEC-play commenced, Brown batted .326.  Brown’s numbers were impressive, recording nine doubles, one triple, and a team-best four home runs to go along with 23 RBIs and a seven stolen bases.

Brown graduated Wagner with an MBA in business administration management.
