Threw 59.1 innings with 59 strikeouts, good for third on the team and seventh in the Northeast Conference (NEC)… Held opposing batters to a .249 batting average… Made his collegiate debut at Nicholls (2/25), tossing five innings, giving up two hits and striking out two while giving up one earned run… Earned his first collegiate save against Holy Cross (3/18), pitching three shutout innings while giving up a hit and striking out two Crusaders… Picked up his first career collegiate victory in relief against NYIT (4/1), throwing four scoreless frames while giving two hits and striking out four batters… Had six outings in which he recorded five or more strikeouts, highlighted by a career-best 10 punchouts against Sacred Heart (5/27) in the NEC Tournament, in which he last 6.1 innings without giving up a single run… Made 11 starts and tossed a total of 46.1 innings while striking out 51 batters and holding batters to .263 batting average…
CONFERENCE ONLY: Went 0-2 during league play in 31.1 innings pitched… Struck out a total of 33 batters with a season-best nine punchouts in a start against LIU Brooklyn (4/28)… Made one relief appearance in league play, at home against Central Connecticut (5/14), going 3.1 innings, squandering two hits, an unearned run while striking out two batters…
MISCELLEANOUS: One of two Seahawks to be named to the NEC All-Tournament Team since former Wagner outfielder Trey Nicosia (’17) was tabbed to the 2014 All-Tournament Team… Marked the first time in program history that the program has ever placed multiple members on the All-Tournament team…  His ten punchouts in the NEC Tournament game marks the first time since May 24, 2013 when Sacred Heart's Kody Kerski went 7.2 innings and, out 12 batters in SHU's win 8-7 win over LIU Brooklyn… The ten K's are the most thrown by a Seahawk in the NEC postseason sinceÂ

Before Wagner: Attended Wildwood High School where he was a three-year varsity starter for the Warrior baseball team under head coach Rich Hans...In the classroom, he received Distinguished Scholar all four years of high school... Played the infield while also dominating on the mound...At the plate for his three-years, he batted .428 (110-for-257) while scoring 99 runs, driving in 76 RBIs, and connecting on seven home runs... Additionally, he had 39 career doubles and seven triples while walking 51 times and swiping 43 stolen bases...On the mound, he logged 127.1 career innings, going 13-8 for his career while recording 175 career strikeouts...Has 17 games in which he recorded five or more strikeouts in a single game and four contests in which he reached double-figures in strikeouts... Against Burlington City in the 2016 NJSIAA South Jersey Group 1 Quarterfinals, he struck out 18 batters in a no-hit performance... The 18-strikeouts were the third-most thrown by a pitcher in a single-game as Luis Zabala of LEAP Academy fanned 20 batters...Named to the NJ.com All-Group 2016 First Team as a pitcher...Son of Anthony and DawnMarie Mormile...
