2017-18 (at Wagner): Sat out the 2017-18 season due to NCAA transfer regulations... Will have two years of eligibility.
2016-17 (Sophomore at American): Appeared in 21 games and made nine starts … averaged five points and two rebounds per game … shot 48 percent from the field, 43 percent from the outside and 90 percent from the line … recorded a season-high 15 points and four rebounds against Bucknell (1/5) … tallied 13 points, four rebounds, and two steals in win over Army West Point (2/11).
2015-16 (Freshman at American): Appeared in 23 games … averaged 2.0 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 0.4 assists per game … secured a season-best eight points and pulled down two rebounds and added an assist at St. Francis Pa.(11/21) … had six points and four rebounds at Mount St. Mary’s (12/1) … added six points, three rebounds and a steal at Bucknell (1/6) … had a season-high in minutes (27), rebounds (5) and assists (3) at Lehigh (2/6).
Before Wagner/American: Helped lead the Ironmen to a 24-5 record during the 2013-2014 campaign in Don Bosco Prep advanced to the NJSIAA Non-Public, North A sectional final. The Ironement were ranked No. 13 in the Star-Ledger Top 20 at that point and Rivera scored nine points while garabbing four rebounds in the contest to go along with one block... The next season, the Don Bosco finished 21-7 and 7-2 in league play with Rivera being named to the Bergen County Coaches Associations All-First Team.... Suited up for the Puerto Rican U17 and U18 National Team... At FIBA U17 World Championships, held in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, averaged 5.2 points per game while grabbing 2.8 rebounds and nearly an assist per contest... Best performance of the came against Egypt back on August 12, 2014, when he was one of three players to finish in double-figures, scoring 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting in 23 minutes of action as Puerto Rico finished fifth... As a member of the U18 National Team, increased his production, scoring close to nine points a contest while corralling four rebounds a game and dishing out 1.2 helpers during the tournament as Puerto Rico finished fifth for the second straight year... Against Mexico back on June 23, 2014, Rivera led the way for his fellow Puertorriqueños with a team-high 13 points on 6-of-10 shooting from the to go along with four rebounds and four assists in 24 minutes of action...
