2017 Freshman Season

Appeared in 24 games for the Seahawks in 2017, starting in four games, three in the outfield and one as the designated hitter… Batted .179 for the season while posting an on-base percentage of .378… As a reserve, batted .286 (4-for-14) with eight runs scored and posted a .545 on-base percentage… Made his collegiate debut against Southern at the Mardi Gras Invitational (2/23), in which he collected his first career hit scored his first run… Drove in his first career RBI against Central Connecticut (5/12) as a pinch-hitter… Batted .429 against left-handed pitchers (3-for-7)… Went .500 as a pinch-hitter (4-for-8)…
CONFERENCE ONLY: Batted .188 in league-only contests… Played in 11 games while earning the start twice… Drew three walks over conference play while posting an on-base percentage of .316…
MISCELLANEOUS: Scored the game-winning run in Wagner’s 6-5 walk-off victory over top-seed Bryant (5/27) in the Northeast Conference (NEC) Tournament.
Before Wagner: Attended Clearview Regional where he was a three-year varsity starter for the Pioneers under the direction of head coach Rocco Cornacchia... Was a two-time Tri-County Royal Division All-Conference selection as he earned First Team honors in 2014 and Second Team honors in 2015... Helped lead the Pioneers to a South Jersey Group IV Championship in 2014... Member of the National Honor Society... In 2014, he batted .286 (14-for-49) with four doubles, a triple and drove in 14 RBIs while scoring five runs... In 2015, he hit .283 (13-for-46) while drawing 21 walks and stealing five bases on the year... He went 4-for-4 against Gloucester Tech back on May 4 in which he scored two runs and drove four runs on the heels of two doubles... In his final season, the Mullica Hill product batted a career-best .368 in which he was 21-for-57 at the plate with 18 RBIs and three home runs... He posted seven multi-hit games with a three-hit performance against Highland on April 4 in which he went 3-for-4 with a RBI... He was also a member of the hockey team, in which the Pioneers won back-to-back titles in 2013 & 2014 while he garnered Breakout Player of the Year in 2013... Son of Mike and Jennifer Lauk...Born April 9, 1998... Has three siblings, Tyler, Kyle and twin brother Ryan, who will also be on the Wagner baseball team... His dad was a pitcher for Saint Joseph's back during the 1984 season... Plans on majoring in Biology at Wagner.
