Started in 29 of Wagner’s 30 games in his final season … Team’s leading scorer at 17.5 ppg (2nd in the NEC) while leading the circuit in league games by averaging 19.2 points per contest…For the 2014-15 season, Burton pulled down 2.7 rebounds a game while dishing out 1.6 assists per contest (tied for second on the team) … Averaged 33.8 minutes a game while shooting 40.1 percent from the field (174-434) … The 434 field-goal attempts is the seventh highest for a single-season in Wagner men’s basketball history … Scored in double figures in 22 of the 29 games in which he appeared, which includes three 30 point scoring performances and ten 20 point outings … After being held to just eight points in the Northeast Conference opener on the road at Saint Francis U back on January 3, two nights later, Burton took his game to another level. In the NEC home opener against 2014 Northeast Conference champion Mount St. Mary's, Burton erupted for a career-high 38 points in leading the Seahawks to an 85-83 double overtime victory. The 38-point outing is the most by a Seahawk since another deep shooting guard, Joey Mundweiler, went for 39 at Monmouth on February 28, 2009. The performance was also the first time a Wagner player hit the 30-point plateau since December 15, 2012, when Jonathon Williams tallied 33 during a 77-65 victory over Coppin State. Burton's 38-point explosion vs. the Mount recording the most points ever scored by a Seahawk player at the Spiro Center, breaking the previous mark set by Jermaine Hall, who tossed in 36 on February 22, 2001 against LIU Brooklyn. Additionally, Burton recorded the highest point total in the conference this season ... The 6-0 Charlotte, NC native became the 42nd member of the Wagner 1,000 point club when he drained a three-pointer with 2:46 left to play against the Central Connecticut Blue Devils at home back on January 31 … A two-time NEC Player of the Week selection in consecutive weeks (January 26 and February 2) ... Named All-Met Division I Men’s College Basketball Third Team by the Metropolitan Basketball Writers’ Association (MBWA), in which he became the 20th Seahawk to be named to an MBWA All-MET team and the first since former Seahawk Jonathon Williams (’13) garnered Third-Team honors in 2013 … Selected to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division I District 18 First Team … All-NEC First Team choice at the conclusion of the NEC regular season ...
